Standards
Is it wrong to have a rich mindset? I understand when those who can't afford much don't have high expectations, but I always feel like my standards have to be decently high in order to be satisfied.

I believe certain things do require high expectations or in the end, you're screwing yourself out of happiness.

I don't understand how people don't have high standards on at least some things. To me, it shows lack of confidence and ambition. My theory is, if you set your standards high, and stick with them, you'll be as happy as you allow yourself to be.

Now am I saying that everything that costs more money means more happiness? No. I'm saying that I believe that if you set your standards above par and you're ambitious enough, you'll most likely be happy alot more often if you set your standards above, not only the minimum, but the average.

That's the difference between many successful people and the average people who are happy off and on about what they have.

Idk. Maybe I just seem to spoiled rich kid inside. Either way thats how I feel on standards.

Where the hell is that Asian drummer?
Well the metal show was phenomenal. I managed to carry enough money to get in and score a T-shirt! I was hesitant to join the pits, since last time some jerk continually tried to walk up to me and kick me. I agree that maybe I shouldn't have worn an Iron Maiden shirt to the show. Maybe it was because I was a bit of a n00b at The Bridge. Maybe I wasn't hardcore dancing properly. Either way, thanks to that jerk, it made me skitchy about the whole thing.

But, I managed to get pumped up enough once The Word Alive got up there, that I hopped in and, to my luck, I was fine. I got slapped in the back of the head once, but hey, it's a metal show. If you're in the pits, you gotta take at least one hit. I didn't care, because I was just ecstatic to see The Word Alive.

After the show, I stuck around and managed to find Dusty Riach, the keyboardist, playing pool in the lobby with Nick Urlacker, one of the guitarists. I managed to talk to Dusty for a bit and got my shirt autographed by all of the members one-by-one, after a hunt and peck trial, before being stumped trying to find the Tony A., the drummer. I managed to get my shirt signed by all of them except for him. That sneaky Asian must have a cloaking device, because I could not find him anywhere.

Then today, while David, Alejandro, and I were walking to Sonic, we found an old hobo bike laying on the side of the road. Naturally, I was the one to hop on it and ride it around, though it had no air in the tires and no padding on the seat. I think I'm going to keep it. My Chronic Insanity sense tells me it will be needed in the near future.

AND! I got a Facebook. I know, by definition, I'm a full blown hypocrite for getting one. But if someone had told me how simplified it was, I would've gotten one a helluva lot sooner. But yea, I would give everyone the link, but right now the site is being gay and won't let me pick my username. So stay patient, or just look for me, and I'll post the link in a future post.

Better than a TV show.
So I recently found this website called Stickam.com.

It's basically a webcam chat website. So what? I found some gorgeous 19 year old Canadian chick on there. She listens to badass music like Suicide Silence, Slayer, and a bunch of other metal bands I've never heard of. She's really fun.

Here's the link if you wanna see what I'm talking about.

I have to say, I wish more of my friends had an account there. It would be really badass. I'm thinking maybe if we had like a party room of all of Chronic Insanity, there could be amazing fun. To those interested, and have a webcam, you should set up an account on Stickam. It's super fun because no one knows who you are, so you can act however you want on there! If Myspace had a feature like that, I would probably be online more often.

I'm also in an extravagant mood, not only because I just got done talking to a hot Canadian chick who listens to metal, but I'm Über-excited about the metal show tomorrow. I can't wait to hear the Keyboardist from The Word Alive play his gnarly tunes.

...Lol at my diverse lingo.

Anyways, $13. The Bridge. 4th street. 6:00PM. Go. It's gonna be amazing.

CoB
Children of Bodom are an amazing band. Hands down. Janne Wirman, the keboardist, is simply a prodigy. I've been trying to learn Blooddrunk by these guys, and it's fucking hard. I don't know. Maybe I'm just not good enough yet to try their stuff. Either way, that song has an amazing keyboard solo.

But since we're on the topic of keyboards, I hope to get an M-Audio Oxygen 49 or 61 soon. If I'm lucky I'll get it before my birthday. I just have no clue how I'm gonna save up the money. They're actually quite cheap, which is a major plus for me, since I'm not very conservative on my money.

This song is even better live. I saw these guys in Dallas back in April, and they we über badass. I think they're high level of skill may have something to do with them being from Finland.

I'm going to Hell.
So last night, I decided to jog from my house to Sonic (which is a little over a mile). So needless to say, I've been feeling it today.

I did so because David, Zach, Adrian, and Alejandro were all there. I later decided to spend the night at David's, where we stayed up the whole entire night messing with each other, talking about sex, and playing bass.

Once it was about 8:30-ish, we decided to call Wesley and tell him that we were having a crazy party the night before. We told him we were tripping out on (fake) drugs.
*For those who don't know, we trick Wesley into buying fake drugs that we make and watch him "trip out" on them.*

Anyways, we told him that there was a girl there name Torrie. (His girlfriend's name is Torrie). We told him that all 5 of us had sex with her and that she told us that she had a boyfriend. We also told him that she was a couple of years younger than us as well. Then we told him that David did her in the butt, which started worrying Wesley to no end. After countless minutes of talking to him on the phone about this, he said that he wanted to come over to David's to discuss this.

Once he came over, we continued with our story and said that we were sorry for "fucking his girlfriend."

We also asked him if he has had sex with her yet, to which he answered, "Oh yeah, of course." Which we followed up with, "Well that's good. At least you fucked her first."

Then he rode off into the sunrise.

Isn't that fucked up? He's totally cool with the fact that we fucked his girlfriend, or so he thinks. I think that we're really going to Hell for this one.

He tries soo hard to fit in with us, that he would be ok with us having sex with his girlfriend.

What Kind of Ending is that?

Today has been a drag.

I hate weekends during the summer. They're always boring for me. I'm an active person, which makes it hard for me to sit and do relaxing things like watching movies, reading, or drawing. I only do these things when my body decides it wants to, which is very seldom.

My mom ordered the movie "The Wrestler" from Netflix, so she instantly thinks I want to watch it with her and has been asking me about it for the past 4 or 5 days. Since today was a slow, uneventful day, I figured I would watch it. For those who haven't seen it yet, this movie is wrestling-related only about 40% of the time. Not to mention, it has easily the worst ending I've ever seen. I understand that the director probably wanted to leave it up to the viewer to conclude what happened to "The Ram", but I don't fucking like that. I sat through this slow movie to see if he was gonna die at the end, and instead of choosing between a happy or sad ending, the movie cuts off as he's performing his signature move, "Ram Jam".

Then after the movie was over, my mom kept sarcastically asking me, "and that's what you want to do with your life?"

!!!

What the fuck!!?? She doesn't even have a job, and is making fun of what I plan to do with my life?

I'm going to leave it at that before I bore everyone with an angry rant.

Needless to say, this day has sucked so far, and I don't really have anything planned for tonight either. Tomorrow will be better though, since I'm going to Parkeway. w00t!

Lock Down
So last night was very interesting.

For the first time since my birthday(September 9), I went to Lockdown last night with Adrian.

What is Lockdown you ask?

That's Lockdown. It's a huge abandoned oil refinery with towers reaching over 100 ft tall. The tower in the picture above is the one we climbed last night. Here are 2 more towers that are there that are much taller than the one above.

Adrian and I decided to go because he had never been there and heard all of the stories about it. David, Ian, and Alejandro were there as well, but they didn't want to join us on our endeavor to the unknown.

The thing about Lockdown is, it's always a gamble when we pay it a visit. Gonzo has been there a number of times and has nearly been caught more than once. Stupid Gonzo. But I suppose he won't be there too soon, since the last time he went, there was a police officer patrolling around the towers that night, in which he had to run all the way to the far edge of Lockdown and hop a fence to escape.

But since we were much smarter, we only went on the fattest and easiest to clime tower last night to soak up the amazing view and calmness that washes over you once you climb one of those towers. Once the adrenaline rush was gone, we decided to leave and meet back up with the others outside.

Definitely a fun experience. I don't know when the next time I'll be back there, but Adrian wants to go back as soon as possible.

First Post=Boring
So since this is my first blog post, It's going to be short.

I blame Lizzi for me getting a blog, but it'll give me something to do. I figured it'll show a few people some of the ways I think.

But like I said, this one's gonna be short, so just wait for the next post if you want something more interesting to read.
