I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise to some people, but it just angers me that Tila Tequila would have the audacity to think that she deserves to be considered a rap legend. What angers me more, is that she uses the excuse of what she calls "Pussy Power" to convince people that they should vote for her because she's a woman.
I may sound sexist at times, and this may be one of them, but being a woman is no special reason to be considered among other greats. I mean, personally, I don't see what makes the female race so exceptional. I'm not saying that they're not important by any means, but I believe true sexism is when you praise someone on their accomplishments due to their sex. It may seem I'm bashing the female race more, but that's because that's where I see it the most. I personally don't care if woman accomplishes something that a man has, but they get recognition of it because they are a woman. I feel that they should be praised on the accomplishment more than the fact that they had to "overcome their gender to do it." I cannot stand feminists because of their Über-high level of sexism. I wish that there would be more people to look at it that way.
The same goes for skin color races. If someone discovers the cure for cancer, I couldn't care less about whether they're a man, a woman, white, or black. Hell, I wouldn't care if it was a black woman. I just think people need to stop looking at race as an excuse to be exceptional. I'm not saying all races are the same either. All races, in my humble opinion, are exceptional in certain aspects of their lives. Not the stereotypical kind of exceptional, but you understand what I mean.
It just bothers me how people seem like they have to watch what they say because they don't want to offend somebody because of their color or sex. I can understand if someone is offended by cursing or a vulgar action. But personally, I don't think people have the right to be offended because someone says, "Hey, look at that person over there." "Which one?" "The __________ one." There's nothing wrong with using someone's race to describe them. Honestly, it's what makes them unique in certain aspects.
Well, this seems like an awfully long post, so I'm just going to wrap it up by saying Tila Tequila shouldn't be voted for as a legendary rapper, since she's only been in the music industry for like 2 1/2 years.
Personally, I think that no matter who you are you shouldn't put up with shit, and if you want to be recognized for something, you better be the best of the best, and not use something like your gender or race to get you credit.
